Shannon began her
journey in dance in 2004 when she took her first Egyptian
belly dance class at Sirrom School of World Dance. After a
year with Sirrom, she discovered Improvisational Tribal
Style and began study with Houston’s premiere Tribal
bellydance troupe, Urban Gypsy. Enveloped by the beauty and
sisterhood of the dance, Shannon began dancing as a member
of Urban Gypsy a short time later and continued as a
dedicated troupe member for two years. She now dances as a
core member of the Tribal -based troupe Sisters of Avalon,
which performs regularly in the South Texas region. Her
dance credits include the Texas Renaissance Festival,
Houston Roller Derby, Avant Garden, Houston Body Art Expo,
and International Festival. |
